What’s new in Remake 0.30

Version 0.30 is the second part of the Magic Garden chapter that started in 0.29. Based on the creator’s official 0.30.0 changelog, the headline changes are:

• Magic Garden expansion: new pool maps and stages 10-11 to 10-20.
• 10 new plants added to the roster.
• 10 new zombies, built to pressure the new pool lanes.
• Sandbox battles, a free-form mode for testing plants against zombies.
• Balance and combat updates across existing plants and enemies.
• Save loading improvements.

What is PvZ Hybrid Remake?

The original PvZ Hybrid (now called Classic) was built by modifying the 2009 PC game. The Remake is a fresh build of the hybrid concept on the Godot engine, with C# game code. That brings three big practical differences:

1. It runs on Android natively. Classic never had an official phone build.
2. It does not depend on the original game’s files, so it avoids many of Classic’s compatibility problems on modern Windows.
3. It uses its own version numbers (0.26, 0.27 … 0.30). These are not lower than Classic 3.18; they are a separate line.

The core idea is the same: plants are fused into hybrids that combine two abilities, and zombies are fused too, in chapters that get harder as you go. Read the full Remake vs Classic comparison.

How to install Remake 0.30

On Windows PC

1. Download the Remake 0.30 ZIP and check its SHA-256 against the table.
2. Right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All. Extract the whole archive into a normal folder such as D:\Games\PvZ Hybrid Remake 0.30.
3. Open the extracted folder (it has a Chinese name, 植物大战僵尸杂交重制版). Keep the .exe, the matching .pck file and the data_PlantsVsZombies_windows_x86_64 folder together.
4. Double-click the 0.30 executable to start the game. Do not move the EXE on its own, or it will not find its resources.

On Android

1. Download the Remake 0.30 APK on your phone.
2. Tap the file. If Android asks, allow “Install unknown apps” for the browser or file manager you used, just for this install.
3. Tap Install, then Open.
4. Turn the “unknown apps” permission back off afterwards.

Updating from 0.29 or older

• PC: Extract 0.30 into a new folder. Do not unzip on top of 0.29. Keep the old folder until you have confirmed that 0.30 runs and your progress loads.
• Android: Install the 0.30 APK over the existing app. If Android refuses with “App not installed” or a signature conflict, do not uninstall straight away; uninstalling can delete local saves. Back up first using any in-game export, then check our error fixes.
• Level Editor: Use Level Editor 0.30 with Remake 0.30. Editors are matched to their game version.

Tips for your first hour in Remake 0.30

• Play the chapters in order. Hybrid plants unlock as you progress, and later stages assume you have them.
• Try new plants in sandbox battles before taking them into Magic Garden.
• Pool stages need lane coverage on water. Check which of your plants can be placed on water before you start.
• If you want to make your own challenges, grab the Level Editor 0.30.

Remake 0.30 came out on 10 October 2026, announced by the creator 潜艇伟伟迷 on Bilibili. It’s the second half of the Magic Garden chapter. Here’s what changed:

• Magic Garden Pool: day and night pool maps, plus Part II stages 10-11 to 10-20.
• 10 new white-card plants: magic versions of Lily Pad, Fume-shroom, Chomper, Sea-shroom and Cattail, a Spirit Scaredy-shroom, Ice Seaweed, a Current Tall-nut, Wizard Pumpkin and Magic Stone Nut.
• 10 new zombies: including divination and guardian warlocks, a witch, a demon summoner and a mechanical kangaroo.
• Sandbox Battle: open it from Custom Levels → Sandbox Battle Levels.
• Balance: Foxtail and Dogtail costs, fire rates and projectile counts were changed. Split-Pea and Gatling Cattails got cheaper, and their recharge dropped from 50 to 30 seconds.
• Hybrid Park levels are now unlocked by default and come with hints.
• Fixes: disappearing peas, wrong targets, repeated shield damage, lawn-mower collisions after loading a save, and more.

Which file should you pick?

• Android phone or tablet: use the APK.

• Mac, iPhone or iPad: there is no official build. Don’t trust sites that claim an iOS version.
