The whole point of PvZ Hybrid is fusion: the mod by 潜艇伟伟迷 combines two classic plants into one hybrid that shares both abilities, and does the same to zombies. This page is our growing list of PvZ Hybrid plants and zombies, organised by edition and chapter, with the Chinese name, an English name, sun cost and what each one does. It covers Remake 0.30 (Android and PC) and Classic 3.18 (PC).
How hybrid plants work
Every hybrid plant starts from two “parent” plants from the original game. The hybrid usually keeps the body or role of one parent and adds the special effect of the other. A shooter might gain an explosive, freezing or healing effect; a defensive plant might gain an attack. Hybrids usually cost more sun than either parent, and some have longer recharge times to keep them balanced.
Zombies get the same treatment. A hybrid zombie combines the toughness, speed or special trick of two zombie types, so a familiar-looking enemy can behave in an unexpected way. Reading the Almanac (图鉴) before a new chapter saves a lot of restarts.
Plant categories

| Category | Role | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Sun producers | Economy | Hybrids that make extra sun or attack while producing |
| Shooters | Main damage | Pea-style plants fused with ice, fire, explosion or piercing effects |
| Defenders | Stalling | Wall-type plants fused with damage, healing or reflect effects |
| Instant-use | Emergency | Bomb-type hybrids with bigger areas or lingering effects |
| Water and pool plants | Pool lanes | Important for the pool maps added to Magic Garden in 0.30 |
| White-card plants | Remake 0.29+ | A set of 10 introduced with Magic Garden Part I |
Remake 0.30 plants
Remake 0.30 added 10 new plants to the Magic Garden chapter. Version 0.29 added 10 white-card plants, and 0.26 to 0.28 added more plants across Experimental Base and Riverside Lawn.
Earlier Remake chapters
Group plants by the chapter where they unlock: Experimental Base (0.26–0.27), Riverside Lawn (0.28) and Magic Garden (0.29–0.30).
Remake 0.30 zombies
0.30 added 10 new zombies built around the new pool lanes, and 0.29 added eight. Boss fights show a health bar since 0.27.
Classic 3.18 plants and zombies
Classic has its own, separate roster. Version 3.18 expanded the plant roster and the Space-Time Secret Realm; 3.17 added plants, zombies and levels. Classic and Remake plants with similar art may have different stats, so check the edition before using a strategy.
General strategy tips
- Economy first. Hybrids are expensive. Two or three columns of sun production early make the late waves manageable.
- Read new zombies before you start. Open the Almanac when a chapter introduces enemies; many hybrid zombies ignore normal counters.
- Mix damage types. A line-up of only one effect is easy to exploit. Combine slowing, splash and single-target damage.
- Test in sandbox. Remake 0.30’s sandbox battles let you try a plant against a specific zombie without risking a level.
- Cover the pool. On the 0.30 pool maps, check which plants can go on water before picking your seeds.
- Keep an emergency card. Always bring one instant-use plant for lanes that break.
How we keep this list accurate
Every entry is checked against the in-game Almanac of the version shown, with our own screenshots. English names are descriptive translations, so we show the Chinese name too; that is the name that will match any translation you use (see our English guide). When a new version adds plants or zombies, we update this page and the changelog together. Spot a mistake? Tell us with the version number and a screenshot.
