The current version is 0.30, announced on 10 October 2026. Because it is a fan project, it is not on Google Play, so you install it manually. This guide walks you through it safely.

Important: only the Remake has an Android version. The Classic 3.18 mod is Windows-only, so any “PvZ Hybrid 3.18 APK” you see elsewhere is not an official build. There is also no iOS/iPhone version.
Is PvZ Hybrid on the Play Store?

How to install the PvZ Hybrid APK (step by step)

- Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (HyperOS, MIUI): you may get an extra security scan prompt; you may need to wait a few seconds and confirm.
- Huawei/Honor without Google: enable unknown sources in Settings → Security. Disable “Pure mode” for one install if prompted.
How to verify the APK
On a PC, compare the SHA-256 hash with Get-FileHash file.apk -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell. On Android, free file-hash apps can do the same. If the hash does not match the table, delete the file and download it again. Never install an APK that asks for SMS, contacts or accessibility permissions; a game has no reason to need them.
Updating to a new version
When a new Remake version comes out, download the new APK and install it over the existing app. Android keeps app data when the new APK is signed with the same key.
- Do not uninstall first. Uninstalling deletes the app’s local data, which can include your progress.
- If you see “App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package”, the APKs were signed differently (common if your old copy came from another site). Back up your progress if the game offers an export, then you will have to uninstall and reinstall.

What you get in the 0.30 APK
The Android build has the same content as the PC Remake 0.30: the Magic Garden chapter expanded with pool maps and stages 10-11 to 10-20, 10 new plants, 10 new zombies, sandbox battles, and balance and save-loading updates. The only PC-only extra is the Level Editor.
Playing on PC instead?
If you want a bigger screen and mouse control, grab the Windows version. Running the APK in an Android emulator also works, but the native PC ZIP is lighter and simpler.
